Summary
We are seeking a reliable and flexible 7.5T Driver to join our team. The successful candidate must be adaptable with start times and willing to undertake a variety of duties including local deliveries, long-distance driving (including Scotland), and on-site shunting when required.
This is a varied role suited to a professional driver who is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable with changing daily requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle in a safe and professional manner
Completing local and nationwide deliveries, including trips to Scotland
On-site vehicle shunting as required
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed on time
Maintaining accurate driving and delivery records
Complying with all transport legislation and company policies
Providing excellent customer service when representing the company
Requirements:
Valid Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence
Valid Driver CPC qualification
Valid Digital Tachograph (Digicard)
No more than 6 penalty points (for insurance purposes)
Flexible with start times (early mornings and variable shifts may be required)
Willingness to work both locally and nationally
Good understanding of driver hours and tachograph regulations
Strong reliability and timekeeping
Desirable:
Previous 7.5T driving experience
Experience with long-distance driving
Experience with on-site shunting
