Data Product Manager

? Birmingham, UK

At Compass Group UK&I, we’re more than just the UK’s leading contract catering company — we’re driving digital transformation across the business. Our Digital & Technology team is at the heart of this journey, creating cutting-edge solutions that improve efficiency, elevate customer experiences, and deliver real business impact.

We’re looking for a Data Product Manager to own and deliver high-impact data products that drive meaningful business outcomes across our organisation.

This is not a reporting role. This is a true product ownership role — shaping vision, prioritising value, and translating complex business challenges into intuitive, actionable data products that influence real decisions.

You’ll work at the intersection of business, engineering, BI, and governance — ensuring our data products are not only technically sound, but valuable, usable, and widely adopted.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Defining and owning the vision, roadmap, and backlog for key data products
  • Translating business problems into clear product outcomes and success measures
  • Leading cross-functional data product squads (engineers, analysts, designers)
  • Prioritising work to maximise measurable business value
  • Ensuring strong UX, visual clarity, and real-world usability
  • Driving adoption through user engagement, feedback loops, and enablement
  • Challenging assumptions and keeping delivery focused on impact

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in data, analytics, or BI environments
  • Strong product thinking — outcome-focused, value-led, user-centric
  • Experience owning roadmaps and prioritising backlogs in agile environments
  • Confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Familiarity with data platforms and tools (e.g. Power BI, Databricks or similar)
  • Clear, compelling communicator who can translate complexity into clarity

Why Join Us?

You’ll play a central role in shaping how data is used to drive performance across a large, complex organisation.

We’re building a modern, product-led data capability — focused on insight, adoption, and tangible business impact.

If you want to own products that genuinely change how decisions are made, we’d love to hear from you.
