Recruitment Administrator

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)
Salary: £28,000 per annum

Join one of the UK’s largest and most respected employers and play a key role in supporting high‑volume frontline recruitment across Compass Group. We are looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Recruitment Administrator to support our Talent Acquisition team in Birmingham.

About the Role

As a Recruitment Administrator, you will be at the centre of our TA operations, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for every candidate and hiring manager. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, fast-paced work, and being the go‑to person for all things recruitment admin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing and responding to frontline recruitment requests across the business
  • Screening high‑volume frontline candidates and progressing them through the recruitment pipeline
  • Supporting the onboarding process, ensuring all new starters are fully compliant and ready for day one
  • Handling administrative duties for the Talent Acquisition team (e.g., contract creation, right‑to‑work checks, system updates)
  • Producing and sending regular recruitment and vacancy reports
  • Liaising with hiring managers to ensure smooth process flow and great candidate experience
  • Maintaining accurate data within our ATS and HR systems

Skills & Experience Needed:

  • Strong administrative experience, ideally within recruitment, HR or a fast‑paced operational environment
  • Excellent organisation and time‑management skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships with candidates and hiring managers
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong IT skills — particularly Outlook, Excel, and recruitment/HR systems
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
