An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative individual. The Community team works with individuals who have a learning disability, with additional complex and high risk needs.

The Community Team at BCHC is an MDT that work collaboratively to support adults in the community of Birmingham with learning disabilities, this encompasses a variety of complex and challenging behaviours which would give the ideal candidate a great opportunity to develop their skills and create a fantastic career pathway through the specialty. The successful candidate will work independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within the sphere of nursing.

If you are considering a career outside of the hospital environment then you may opt for a Specialist Learning Disability Multi Disciplinary Community Team. This is a fast paced intensive service with significant demand, we need Nursing Associates who can think independently, make decisions and bridge our Support Workers and Registered Professionals. You will be working independently in people’s own homes and clinic settings delivering care planned and evaluated by our Registered Nurses. You need be confident in your own decision making and ready to make a difference in this new role. You will have a extensive experience within Learning Disabilities. Car Driver and access to a car for work purposes essential. Flexible working will be considered.
