Summary
Job title: Personal Assistant

Hours of work: 8 hours a week
Rate of pay: £14.50
Main Duties:
A committed, caring and flexible, personal assistant is required to support a 22 year old male with additional needs and autism.
Accessing the community and participating in walks, he also enjoys going to the zoo, museums, and art classes.
Hours are to be worked flexibly as required and agreed in advance 8 hours over a week.
Support and encourage him with activities of interest.
Ensure his safety at all times during your working hours.
Person Specification
Individual must have a knowledge of autism and understanding behaviours that may challenge.
Must have own transport and a full clean driving licence.
DBS required.
Local to the area would be beneficial
To carry out any other reasonable requests that the employer may make from time to time
Support and encourage to try activities and skills to improve confidence of abilities.
Benefits
5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro rata).
SSP will be paid at the lower amount of either £123.25 OR 80% of normal earnings. For workers whose pay varies week to week, this will be an average of the previous 8 weeks' pay.
