Location: Darlington
Salary: up to £32,000 basic per annum, plus bonus, OTE £38,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm, Saturday morning on rota

We are seeking a skilled Prep Technician to join our client's reputable dealership in Darlington. This dealership is known for delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality vehicle maintenance. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles to manufacturer specifications, ensuring they meet the highest standards before delivery. This position offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Prep Technician role:
• Work alongside experienced Vehicle Technicians to learn and perform vehicle service, maintenance, and repair
• Conduct safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs as directed
• Replenish supplies as requested by technicians or the service manager
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Attend training classes and departmental meetings
• Adapt confidently to the fast-paced environment and high standards of this main dealership
Prep Technician Requirements:
• NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification or higher
• At least one year of experience in a similar role, ideally in a dealership environment
• Interest in the motor trade and vehicles
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
• Full UK driving licence
