Tibshelf Parish Council has a vacancy for an enthusiastic Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer who can deliver an exceptional administrative and financial service to its 11 Councillors and the wider Community. This is a rewarding job, in which you will be instrumental in shaping and delivering services to the Community.

Tibshelf Parish Council is a proactive Parish Council, and the Clerk will be expected to play a key role in the full operations of the Council, as well as leading a small team of staff.

Working from the Parish Council Office, the hours of work are 37 hrs per week plus attendance at meetings. The monthly Council meeting is held on the third Tuesday of each month.

The successful applicant will have the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA)

(or be prepared to work towards obtaining this qualification), with relevant experience,

excellent organisational skills and a keen attention to detail.

As management and finance play a major role in the Clerk’s duties, applicants should be able to demonstrate some practical and relevant experience of both.

This position is office based, with the opportunity to work for home 1 day a week.
