A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Acton is seeking a Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team for the Summer Term, with a strong possibility of continuing into September.
The school has clear routines, supportive leadership and a collaborative KS1 team, creating an environment where teachers can focus on high-quality teaching and pupil progress.
Full responsibility for a Year 2 class
Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
Supporting pupils as they consolidate phonics and early reading skills
Creating a structured, positive and inclusive classroom environment
Monitoring pupil progress and supporting targeted interventions
Working collaboratively with colleagues and families
Teachers with Year 2 teaching experience
Experienced KS1 practitioners
Strong ECTs who can demonstrate relevant EYFS or KS1 experience
Teachers confident with phonics, SATs preparation and assessment
Practitioners who value structure, teamwork and high expectations
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
Strong understanding of phonics and early assessment
Positive classroom management and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
