Summary
English Teacher
Location: Lambeth (West Norwood & Kennington)
Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
We are proud to be working exclusively with a highly regarded all-through alternative provision (KS1-KS4) in Lambeth, seeking an adaptable and committed English Teacher to join their team.
This specialist setting supports pupils who are unable to access mainstream education due to exclusion, illness, unmet SEN needs, or other complex circumstances. Operating across two sites - an SEMH provision in West Norwood and a PRU in Kennington - the school also provides respite placements to local schools across all key stages.
Many pupils arrive with disrupted educational journeys, often linked to persistent exclusions or previously unidentified additional needs. The provision is built on the belief that every young person deserves a second chance. Through clear expectations, consistent boundaries and personalised support, students are guided to develop consequential thinking, take responsibility for their actions, and recognise their own strengths and potential.
Academic achievement is viewed as a powerful tool for transformation. Alongside high-quality qualifications tailored to individual interests and abilities, the provision places strong emphasis on social, emotional and personal development - helping pupils build independence, resilience, confidence and communication skills to support successful reintegration and positive future pathways.
The English Teacher will play a central role in delivering engaging and meaningful learning experiences for KS3 and KS4 pupils.
