Deputy Room Leader – Early Years | Up to £31,000 | Level 3 Qualified

Skills & Qualifications We’re Looking For



  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).

  • Experience in a nursery or early years education setting.

  • Confident understanding of safeguarding, EYFS, and inclusive practice.

  • Enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning through play.

  • Warm communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

  • A proactive, reliable, and positive approach to day-to-day routines.

Your Key Responsibilities



  • Supporting the Room Leader in the daily running of a busy Early Years room.

  • Acting as a role model for best practice in childcare, safeguarding, and play-based learning.

  • Leading activities that boost children’s development across EYFS areas.

  • Building warm, trusting relationships with children and families.

  • Ensuring the room environment is engaging, inclusive, and well organised.

  • Coaching team members and offering guidance where needed.

  • Maintaining accurate records, observations, and reports.

  • Helping create a safe, nurturing space where every child can thrive.
