Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for an AI and Automations Engineer to join the Windsor Forest Colleges Group Team on a full-time permanent basis.AI and Automations EngineerWe are looking for an AI and Automations Engineer to join Windsor Forest Colleges Group (WFCG). This role offers a full-time role working 37 hours per week (all-year-round) position on Scale J of our Support Staff pay scale paying between £31,115 and £35,853 per year depending on skills and experience.If you are passionate about emerging technologies such as N8N, Make, VAPI, Claude Code, OpenClaw and all things AI and Automations, this role provides the perfect opportunity to use breakthrough technologies to impact the education sector. Working across different departments to understand business needs and implement AI and Automations to have the biggest impact: you will spearhead some of our most ambitious innovation projects.Windsor Forest leads the way in AI across UK Further Education and has a UK-wide reputation for innovation. The AI & Automations Engineer will support in driving forward innovation and implementing change that will be echoed across the sector. We hosted major AI summits in 2024 and 2025 which featured speakers such as the Government's Chief Technology Officer, Google for Education’s UK Team, Salesforce’s Senior Director of Education Strategy, and Jisc’s Director of AI. Because of the high interest in our work, we are currently applying for funding from award-granting institutions. This funding will help us expand our exciting AI projects. For example, you will help develop our sector-first WhatsApp and SMS student support service.This is a pioneering role. It is the first truly AI-focused job in our college group. If you are an aspiring developer or entrepreneur who loves diving into YouTube tutorials to build the next big thing, we want you on our team.Please note that the post holder would be required to travel to, and work with teams onsite across our four Colleges as part of this role.
