Summary

The post holder will work in partnership with the NCL multi-disciplinary maternal medicine team. They will be based at one of the maternity hospitals within the NCL maternal medicine network Barnet Hospital. This physician should have completed a pre or post CCT RCP credential in Obstetric Medicine or have undergone specific training in Obstetric Medicine within an established Obstetric medicine service. Working as a consultant in Obstetric Medicine within the network will include caring for pregnant women with medical problems in both the in-patient and out-patient setting in the one of the NCL partner hospitals. This will involve multi-disciplinary antenatal and post-natal clinics, rapid access service for pregnant women with medical problems and management of maternal medicine inpatients. Additionally, liaising and coordinating patients care across the network, attending and participating in NCL MDTs and contributing to the ongoing development of the network. The post holder will coordinate a mechanism to provide advice and education to other physicians, obstetricians, general practitioners and other health care professionals throughout the maternal medicine network.
