Summary
You will be provided with clinical and line management supervision by the NDD Clinical Nurse Specialist. The postholder will: Be an experienced Mental Health Nurse who has a keen interest or experience of neurodiversity. Ideally, the post holder will have a professional background in Autism and/or Learning Disabilities and a passion for working in this field. Have a passion for improving mental health treatment outcomes for autistic people Have experience of designing, planning, implementing, or delivering training to staff, carers and patients. Be willing to engage and promote joint working with our key system partners for LD, Autism and Mental Health. Be able to travel independently to enable adequate geographical reach across the Norfolk and Waveney NSFT aged 18+ mental health teams for equitable access/provision. Be willing to undertake training in Diagnostic Interview for Social Communication Disorder (DISCO), ADI-R or ADOS assessor if needed to support the AIS clinical and operational model, or have prior qualification/experience in this area. PLEASE NOTE: As this team covers a large geographical area, this role requires the ability to travel independently across Norfolk and Waveney to meet strict time deadlines for home visits, meetings, and appointments within community and inpatient services. You will therefore need to hold a full UK driving licence and have the use of a vehicle.Public transport would not be a reliable form of transport and would not allow you to meet service needs.
