More detail about the role The role is diverse and requires an individual who is extremely organised and able to use their own initiative. The postholder will be working closely with our Orthopaedic teams so excellent communication skills are vital in building those key working relationships with different levels of administrative and clinical staffing. Providing administrative support to the medical, nursing and administrative staff as required. To communicate with patients, and/or colleagues, both on the telephone and in person, in a professional and efficient manner, accepting messages on behalf of members of the team and taking appropriate action where necessary. Use multiple computer systems, including Epic, Excel (to include specific hospital databases) and MS Office to input data. Databases will include BSR (British Spinal Registry), NJR (National Joint Registry), as well as offering support to our secretarial team with administrative duties, as well as attendance within our MDT (Multi-disciplinary) meetings.
