Job Overview:

Our client is looking for a reliable Building Porter/Handyman to keep their corporate office running efficiently. You'll handle minor repairs, routine inspections and support office events and setups. Safety and compliance are key, along with maintaining a clean, professional environment as well as strong customer service and communication skills are essential. In addition, you must be assertive and ready to respond to emergencies and manage maintenance records efficiently.



Main Duties:

-Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify and address any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.

-Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, painting, and basic carpentry work.

-Assist with setting up and arranging furniture and equipment for office events, meetings, and conferences.

-Handle basic plumbing and electrical tasks under the supervision of licensed professionals.

-Respond promptly to employee requests and facility-related emergencies, providing timely solutions and excellent customer service.

-Collaborate with the facilities management team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.

-Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing job duties, including the proper use and maintenance of equipment and personal protective gear.

-Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory levels, and work orders using designated software or documentation systems.



What we are looking for:

-Experience: Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.

-Skills: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry systems. Ability to operate common hand and power tools safely and effectively.

-Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to learn.

-Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

-Availability: Flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
