Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our logisitics clinet based in Worcster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and ability to drive a reach truck responsibly. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic logistics environment.
Duties
• Operate forklift trucks to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
• Manage materials handling using appropriate equipment and techniques
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and placement of stock
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
• Support the organisation of stock storage areas, maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse workflow and ensure timely order fulfilment
Experience
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting (license requied)
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable
• Strong materials handling skills, including load & unload operations and heavy lifting
• Previous experience in shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse environment
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 1pm-9pm - lunch break paid.
Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour
