Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant to work for our client within a residential setting in St Josephs, Sudbury.
Duties and Responsibilities of Care Assistant:
Provide person centred care in line with individual care plans, promoting dignity, independence and choice.
Deliver high quality holistic care in accordance with CQC fundamental standards and organisational procedures.
Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, laundry, housekeeping and kitchen duties.
Maintain accurate and legible documentation of all care provided.
Read, understand and contribute to care plans, reporting any changes in needs appropriately.
Identify and ensure health and safety standards are met within the workplace.
Follow manual handling procedures and food hygiene regulations at all times.
Recognise and report signs of poor practice or abuse, escalating concerns as required.
Respond to emergency call systems and deal with incidents appropriately within the limitations of the role.
Support customers to participate in social and wellbeing activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals, undertaking key worker duties where required.
Comply with CQC essential standards and organisational policies at all times.
Working Hours:
Various shifts available: Day Shifts (14:00 - 20:00, 14:30 - 20:00, 10:00 - 20:00), Night Shift (20:00 - 08:00),
Requirements of Care Assistant:
Understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults.
Enhanced DBS
Commitment to delivering high-quality person-centred care.
Care Training Certificates
