Summary

Level 3 Early Years Practitioner – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting as soon as possible, working 8:20–16:00 with two days finishing at 16:30 (term time only)

This early years setting provides a warm, nurturing, and well‑structured environment where children benefit from supportive adults, clear routines, and carefully planned developmental activities. Staff work collaboratively to uphold high expectations, ensuring children feel safe, confident, and engaged. Pupils respond well to purposeful learning experiences that promote communication, independence, and steady early progress.

Duties as Level 3 Early Years Practitioner:

  • Support children aged 2–4 through structured and play‑based early years activities
  • Contribute to planning and delivery of age‑appropriate learning experiences
  • Support early communication, literacy, numeracy, and physical development
  • Maintain a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment
  • Assist with observations, assessments, and progress notes as required
  • Help with daily routines including settling, toileting, transitions, and snack times
  • Work collaboratively with early years colleagues to ensure consistent EYFS practice
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise child welfare

Ideal Level 3 Early Years Practitioner:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential
  • Early years experience strongly preferred
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Ability to support early communication, play‑based learning, and developmental needs
  • Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
  • Able to work the required hours, term time only
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to high‑quality early years provision
