About this role…

We’re looking for a motivated and strategic Area Manager to join our Operational Management Team to effectively lead impactful delivery of a portfolio of diverse services and support us to achieve our mission of ending street homelessness.

You will be responsible for ensuring we deliver high-quality, person-centred support that empowers and enables people to move forward with their lives.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ambitious with service management experience, who is looking to move into a more strategic role and thrives in a fast-paced, values driven environment with a commitment to making a tangible difference in people’s lives.

You will:

.Be responsible for successful delivery of a portfolio of services that help people who are homeless or vulnerable to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives, ensuring high standards of service delivery and best practice are adopted across teams.
.Be a key member of the Operational Management Team and enable Thames Reach to develop strategies and agree and deliver plans for implementing these.
.Provide direct line management and leadership to managers and teams, developing staff performance and practice and building, managing and maintaining partnerships.
.Develop existing business and source opportunities for growth or new business that meet our mission to end street homelessness.
.Work to improve measurable outcomes such as positive move on, and increasing access to services.
.Monitor and manager budgets, staffing and assets to ensure efficient use of resources.
.Champion co-production, actively involving people with lived experience of homelessness in the design, delivery and evaluation and improvement of services.

To succeed as the Area Manager, you will have:

.Proven experience to lead, motivate and support teams, including managers, staff, and volunteers working in high-pressure environments, across different locations.
.Experience of managing services that work effectively with people with a range of support needs using person centred and outcome based approaches.
.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience of writing compelling reports and delivering effective presentations.
.Experience in managing budgets, allocating resources efficiently and ensuring compliance with funding requirements and financial controls.
.Strong skills in building and maintaining influential relationships with local authorities, health services, employers, housing providers, community organisations and other partners.
.Experience in overseeing teams and services through periods of change, including restructuring, policy changes or service redesigns, while maintaining staff morale and service quality.
.Demonstrable commitment to providing high quality and effective services for people experiencing homelessness or crisis, and involving them in service evaluation and improvement.
.Experience in developing and implementing long term and strategic plans using data and other evidence to improve service impact.
