We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.Accommodation to us doesn’t just mean a roof over your head and shelter from the elements. It needs to be a welcoming and flourishing environment, offering opportunities for all those we support to feel comfortable and develop. You can make a difference and support people on their journey towards a brighter future. At Changing Lives, we offer a home rather than just a shelter.About the JobWelcome to Abbott House, located in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are a supported accommodation for 18 individuals (plus three shared dispersed flats) offering a holistic and person centred approach to provide accommodation and support for individuals with a range of complex needs. As a Support Worker you will have the opportunity to join our small passionate team of 8 members, which includes a dedicated group of 3 support workers, working in a welcoming, trauma informed environment.We are committed to delivering high-quality support, and we welcome your expertise and dedication to help us continue making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. You will be given training on all aspects of the role and will have your own group of 8 individuals to key work, as well as supporting each other as a team.Our project operates on a 3 shift pattern including lone working; therefore, your commitment and flexibility are essential as shift times may vary to ensure uninterrupted support.
