Summary

They are now hiring for an R&D Chemist to join their innovation-focused team, contributing to new product development activities, polymer synthesis programmes and research initiatives that support growth across diverse end-use applications. Candidates with industrial laboratory experience and a strong background in polymer chemistry or materials science are encouraged to apply.

Role / Description

  • Lead and support development activities across R&D projects.
  • Plan and conduct experimental programmes involving polymer synthesis and material development.
  • Carry out laboratory and pilot-scale experimentation in collaboration with wider technical teams.
  • Record, analyse and interpret experimental data, producing clear technical reports.
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions to align technical developments with market needs.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping in accordance with site and regulatory requirements (e.g., REACH, COSHH).
  • Keep up to date with developments in polymer technology and related fields.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative new concepts.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry or similar.
  • Proven industrial experience in developing and/or testing the applications of polymers (adhesives/coatings/sealants/elastomers will be considered).
  • Strong working knowledge of analytical chemistry, physical testing and thermal analysis.
