We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated occupational therapist to join our dynamic team at the National hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. The post is a clinical specialist Occupational Therapy Role working within a specialist multidisciplinary team at this renowned teaching hospital.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Band 8A to lead the stroke occupational therapy service including HASU and ASU as part of a job share.

Applicants must have significant experience working as a specialist occupational therapist within stroke rehabilitation and managing a team, including supervision and teaching.

The post-holder will be working closely with other members of this dynamic MDT (including a Band 8A physiotherapist and speech & language therapist) and will have a commitment to enhanced weekend working on a Saturday, Sunday and all Bank Holidays.

The Therapy and Rehabilitation Services department has structured in-service programme. Team members are encouraged to engage in teaching and training at a local and national level; with clear structures in place for involvement in clinical developments and participate in multi-disciplinary audit and research.

You will be working in a rewarding and challenging clinical environment and be responsible for supervision of at least one OT team member and the day to day management of the OT service delivery in your clinical area.
