Summary
Hotel Indigo Torquay is looking for an HR Coordinator to join our growing team and bring the Hotel Indigo values to life!
Hotel Indigo Torquay brings a vibrant new addition to this idyllic coastal town. Nestled along the stunning English Riviera, the hotel offers guests breathtaking views of Tor Bay and easy access to some of Torquay’s most iconic beaches and walking trails, where nature can be truly appreciated. Close to local attractions, including the historic Torre Abbey and the lively harbour, guests can also indulge in the region's renowned culinary scene featuring fresh seafood and artisanal delights. Hotel Indigo provides a unique and memorable experience, offering a tonic for the body, imagination, and soul, while capturing the spirit of this historic English seaside destination.
This is a fixed-term contract for 6-months based on-site. We are looking for someone to work 24 hours across 3 days per week.
As an HR Coordinator, you can expect to carry out the following duties…
- Coordinate new hire onboarding property orientation inductions and uniform management while ensuring Right to Work checks and training compliance are completed and up to date
- Support Heads of Department with recruitment and hiring and liaise with the Talent Acquisition team including delivery of in the moment systems training
- Facilitate on-site surveys and engagement initiatives alongside the management team
- Note-take and assist with meetings as required
- Manage the HR System with data entry, reporting and general administration duties
- Deliver key IHG initiatives including Room to Grow, Celebrate Service Week and the annual Engagement Survey while building and maintaining community partnerships and future talent pipelines
- Organise and lead activities for the team in line with our Journey to Tomorrow commitments
- Facilitate local training sessions and manage work placements as part of the IHG Academy program
We are looking for someone who has…
- Previous administrative experience ideally within HR or hospitality with strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of UK employment law would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging multiple stakeholders and strong IT skills across various systems and applications
- Proactive and self motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
