Summary
We operate as a year-round business, offering work opportunities in every month of the year, including the winter period.
Type of Work
Duties may include a wide range of soft fruit and general farm tasks, such as:
• Pruning, planting, and picking soft fruit
• Tunnel construction and maintenance
• Crop husbandry tasks (cutting fruit, cleaning plants, lacing, clipping)
• Moving plants
• Irrigation work
• General farm and outdoor work
Most roles are paid on a target-based system, giving you the opportunity to earn more by working efficiently.
Targets are explained before each task begins and may vary depending on crop yield, quality, quantity, and weather conditions. Targets are fair and achievable, with most workers meeting or exceeding the contracted hourly pay rate.
Working Conditions
• Work may be carried out outdoors, in polytunnels, or in glasshouses
• You should be prepared to work in hot, cold, wet, or windy weather
• Some tasks involve bending, lifting, and repetitive physical work
• Good hand–eye coordination, dexterity, and physical stamina are required
• You will work as part of a multi-national team
• Occasional work in the packhouse may be required, but this is not guaranteed
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
• Be hardworking, reliable, and motivated
• Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Be physically fit and capable of manual work
• Be 18 years of age or over
• Be available to work for a minimum of 8 weeks
• Have previous experience in farm, agricultural, or soft fruit work (required)
• Be able to provide work recommendations or references (required)
• Have their own transport and be able to travel independently to the farm
