Summary

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, the largest non-metropolitan Fire and Rescue Service in England, is on the lookout for a Senior Business Change Manager to join our Strategic Business Change team at our Service Headquarters in Exeter. This position is available on a permanent contract, working full-time (37 hours per week) and offers a competitive salary of £48,226 rising on an annual basis to £51,536 (gross) per annum.

You will lead and embed effective change management practices across complex programmes, working closely with senior leaders, project teams and stakeholders. Your focus will be ensuring change is well – planned, people-centred, and successfully adopted across the Service

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver change strategies aligned to organisational goals
Lead change planning and ensure smooth implementation and adoption.
Conduct change impact and business readiness assessments.
Engage, coach and support leaders and managers through change.
Oversee stakeholder engagement and communications planning.
Monitor impact, manage risks, and report progress to senior leaders.
Manage budgets and resources linked to change initiatives
Drive continuous improvement in change management practices.
Provide leadership to cross-functional teams delivering change.

Extensive experience in a Senior Change Management role, ideally within a complex organisation, with a track record of successfully delivering complex business change projects.
Experience in developing and implementing change management frameworks and methodologies.

Knowledge of Programme and Project management.
Self-motivated with keen drive to achieve successful outcomes.
Collaborative approach with strong stakeholder ethic and proven ability to cope with ambiguity with a range of stakeholders.
