Summary

Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) is entering an exciting new phase of delivery, and we’re looking for an interim Head of Policy & Impact to help shape the future of economic well-being across South East Wales. This is a senior leadership role at the heart of a dynamic, fast‑evolving regional institution - one that brings together ten local authorities, business, academia, and national partners to drive innovation, investment, and inclusive growth.

As Head of Policy & Impact, you will lead CCR’s strategic economic well-being policy function, ensuring our work is grounded in robust evidence, forward‑thinking analysis, and a clear understanding of the region’s economic, social, and environmental priorities. You’ll be responsible for developing high‑quality policy insight, aligning CCR’s statutory duties to shape long‑term strategy, and ensuring CCR’s investments deliver measurable impact for the people, places, and businesses of the region.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders, elected members, and external partners to influence decision‑making, champion place‑based development, and ensure CCR remains a confident, credible voice in Welsh, UK, and international policy debates. This is a role for someone who wants to make a tangible difference - helping to build a stronger, fairer and greener economy.
