A Junior Test Engineer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality software by working closely with experienced test professionals to develop core testing skills and knowledge.

In this role, you will proactively collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive testing activities. This includes both functional and non‑functional testing across applications and infrastructure, delivered within Agile and Waterfall environments.

Through hands‑on involvement and continuous learning, the Junior Test Engineer helps ensure that products meet expected standards of functionality, reliability, and user experience.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Contribute to and maintain technical test suites under supervision
  • Follow engineering practices and standards to apply test approaches, plans and strategies under supervision
  • Analyse artefacts such as user stories, prototypes, processes and designs with support
  • Support the development of reports, recording of outcomes and resolution of defects
  • Understand the technical tooling and engineering approach to design and execute tests
