Summary
We are looking for a locum consultant with a special interest in Skin Cancer and Mohs Surgery to join our Dermatology department at The Royal London Hospital site, part of Barts Health NHS Trust. The initial term is for 12 months.
This job plan will include participation in the Skin Cancer MDT, surveillance clinics, Mohs surgery, outpatient general dermatology clinics, surgery and tele-dermatology. There will be time allocated for CPD and SPA time for appraisal, revalidation and service development. The role may include participation in the ward round rota, and non-resident on-call commitment (low frequency).
The Dermatology Department is a well-established regional centre of excellence in North East London. This post will support the skin cancer service and offer Mohs micrographic surgery to meet increasing demand and embracing digital innovation to improve patients access to excellent Dermatology care and advice.
The successful candidate will join 27 existing consultants, six specialist registrars and two clinical fellows in delivering a broad range of Dermatology services as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with close links with Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Oral Medicine, Clinical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Renal Transplant and Haemato-Oncology colleagues.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the dermatology service by providing specialist clinical care as well as improving collaborative patient care with other specialties.
You will join a renowned Dermatology department working amongst experts in their fields, with opportunity to learn from our existing highly experienced consultant body, take part in the training of the next generation of Dermatologists and participate in research.
