Summary
Job description Job responsibilities Work with the AWTTC team and stakeholders toestablishinformation requirements across a range of complex data areas.This willincludeproducinga regular suite of reports that incorporate a range of analytical techniques. The post holderswillbe responsible fordesigning information systems todisseminateinformation on a range of key performance indicators for the organisation.Including analysingcomplex datasets and converting them into meaningful reports that can be understood by a range of stakeholders. Develop information systems that enable effective interoperability between each other and support the effective integration of various areas of healthcare.Develop tools to include analysis ofkeyfactors and ensure that key messages are highlighted appropriately. Respond to ad-hoc requirements from AWTTC staff and stakeholders toidentifyparticular reasonsforpoor performanceandidentifycorrective action needed.Explore innovative opportunities to link prescribing data with other relevant clinical demographic data. Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to Degree level in science, information science or a numeric discipline or equivalent level of experience. Additionalspecialist knowledgeacquiredthrough post graduate diploma or equivalent level of experience. Desirable Postgraduate diploma. Experience Essential Specialist knowledge of analysis and use of qualitative and quantitative data. Ability to extract data from various systems. A high degree of numeracy. Experience in an analytical role. Experience of presenting data analyses. Ability tocomprehendand work within the AWTTCs policies of Data Protection and Freedom of Information. Desirable Working knowledge of a range of statistical techniques. Experience inoperatinga range of data analysis tools Experience of prescribing data analysis. Skills Essential Strong analytical skills with demonstrable ability to analyse and synthesisehighlycomplextechnical data and information Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Ability to interpret and present complex information in a meaningful manner. Ability to work flexibly as part of a team, and across teams. Ability toestablisheffective internal and external working relationships with a range of professionals. Knowledge of NHS datasets and data definitions. Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and other programming languages. Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools e.g. Tableau. Desirable Knowledge of prescribing and pharmaceutical systems and processes. Knowledge of GP practice prescribing systems. Good understanding of a wide range of health services research skills.Understanding ofguideline development and medicine assessmentmethodology.
