Vacancy Description
We are seeking unqualified individuals with an interest in working with us as a qualified Gymnastics Coach to join us as a Gymnastics Coach (Trainee). So, if you’re thinking about Gymnastics Coaching as a career, we’re here to help you somersault into it and make it a reality.
We pay you a salary while providing the training and support needed to become a qualified Gymnastics Coach, and then you will work in our coaching programme as an Assistant Coach. This is a 20-hour per week permanent part-time contract.
Salary is £12.60 per hour, rising to £12.85 per hour on graduation from the Trainee Programme, approximately 8 weeks later.
Potential for 35.75 full-time hours after qualification and completion of probation. Please note we have various positions, and you will be based at 1 or 2 venues, however all positions include 1 full weekday, 2-3 other weekday afternoons/evenings and at least one day of weekend work.
You must be 16 years old and above the minimum school leaving age by the start of employment on 1 May 2026.
To be considered for the Trainee Programme, you MUST be available for the following dates:
- 01/05/26 - 09:00-18:00 - Venue Induction at one of our 6 Gymnastics Venues
- 06/05/26 - 09:00-17:00 - IGA Women’s Artistic Level 1 Coaching Course at Drumbrae Leisure Centre
- 07/05/26 - 09:00-16:00 - Corporate Welcome & Induction Course (Day 1) at Royal Commonwealth Pool
- 08/05/26 - 09:00-13:00 - Corporate Welcome & Induction Course (Day 2) at Royal Commonwealth Pool
