Faculty
Across our two faculties and six schools, we support teaching and academic-related activity with national and international impact, strong civic partnerships, and a clear focus on student success. The Faculty Support Team is known for dependable delivery, improving services through practical innovation, and working as one team across organisational boundaries.
What you will be doing:
You will provide comprehensive administrative and governance support, with duties including:
Supporting senior academic leaders with diary/itinerary administration, travel arrangements, and associated coordination.
Processing purchasing activity using University financial systems (purchase orders, reconciliations, invoices) and supporting institutional credit card administration.
Organising and supporting School and Faculty events, including induction activity for new academic staff.
Acting as a first point of contact for Schools, including receiving visitors and managing communications on behalf of senior leaders.
Providing governance support to Faculty/School meetings (for example Faculty Board/Assembly and task and finish groups), including minute taking, action tracking, and dissemination aligned to University governance standards.
Qualifications/ experience:
GCSE (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths, or equivalent qualification/experience.
Recent experience in an administrative role, including supporting meetings and taking accurate minutes/actions.
Confident IT user, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases/systems, producing accurate outputs to deadline.
