Life loving wheelchair user seeks able bodied side kick to help access the community and help with daily needs and activities. Diverse experiences faced with humour and adventures abound await in this rewarding job roll.

I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user with multiple needs who requires someone to help with day to day life that is not always straightforward. I'm looking for someone who faces things with humour and dignity, medical knowledge/experience in care preferred but not required.

Duties
• Support with food preparation and cooking
• Household duties
• Help with administrative tasks
• Support in accessing the community (e.g., shopping, hobbies, outings)
• Morning / evening routine to prepare for bed
• Planning daily activities
• Support with medical appointments
• Supporting client's ability to parent (e.g school runs etc)
• No Personal Required


Hours: Flexible working pattern 21 hours per week


Rate: £12.21 per hour


Essential Requirements:

• Have a full UK driving licence
• Have an open mind and attitude
• Able to deal with stressful situations
• Willing to learn
• Good sense of humour
• Patience
• Not uncomfortable around hospitals/doctors/medical equipment/paramedics/animals


Desired Experience:

• Knowledge of SEN children and adults
• Experience with seizure care
• Home medical management
• Experience with at home medical equipment i.e. catheters and feeding tubes
