Summary
English Teacher
Humly is recruiting an English Teacher to join a specialist school on a temporary basis.
This is a full-time role starting after May half term and continuing for half a term initially, with the potential to continue beyond this. The role would suit a confident and adaptable teacher with either Primary QTS or Secondary QTS who is comfortable delivering English to pupils with varying abilities within a specialist setting. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons, adapting learning to meet individual needs, and supporting pupils to make meaningful progress.
What You’ll Be Doing
Planning and delivering engaging English lessons tailored to pupils of varying ability
Adapting teaching strategies to meet a range of additional learning needs
Assessing and monitoring pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
Creating a supportive and structured classroom environment
Collaborating with support staff to ensure effective differentiation and inclusion
Encouraging confidence, creativity and a positive attitude towards English
What You’ll Bring
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Primary or Secondary
Experience delivering English with strong subject knowledge
Confidence supporting pupils with varying abilities within a specialist or inclusive setting
Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
A creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning
A commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing
Pay
Non-AWR: £140 – £165 per day
AWR (from week 13): £168.80 – £232.57 per day (M1 – M6)
