We are seeking a Nursery Teaching Assistant with a genuine passion for early years education to join a welcoming and supportive school in Brent. This is an exciting opportunity to support young children at a crucial stage of their development within a nurturing Nursery setting.
This role will initially be offered through an agency, with the potential to progress into a longer-term position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress
Promote positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional development
Assist with personal care routines where required
Work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively with parents/carers when appropriate
Requirements:
A relevant EYFS qualification at Level 2 or above, in line with current Department for Education (DfE) guidance
A strong interest in early years education and child development
Experience working in a Nursery or Early Years setting (preferred)
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
Ability to work well as part of a team
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
