Summary

The Faculty Operations Team is looking to recruit a School Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of the Schools, particularly in the School of Law whilst the current post-holder is on maternity leave. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the running of a large and busy academic School. The School of Law is a friendly, diverse and ambitious place to work, with a strong sense of community. As a School, our goals are to offer an excellent academic experience and innovative teaching as well as impactful research which helps to shape both policy and practice.

As the School Assistant, you would work closely with academic and professional services staff in the School, the Faculty Operations Team and the wider University to provide high quality administrative support to the operational activities of the School, including acting as a first point of contact for enquiries, updating our website and social media, supporting school events and meetings, and general administration related to (for example) school space, records management and purchasing.

The workload will be varied, and you will have opportunities to explore your interests and to develop your skills and knowledge across all areas of the role. You should have great organisational skills and the ability to multi-task, as well as strong IT skills and an interest in being a part of initiatives to enhance the services we deliver in the School and across the Faculty.

This role is based on the Bailrigg campus, but there is flexibility for those who prefer to work some of the time remotely.
