Religious Workers - Children Sunday School Teacher/Co-ordinator
Christ Light Assemblies UK (CLASS UK), is a multinational and independent Pentecostal Christian religious organisation based in Erith, Greater London of England. We are seeking a vibrant qualified/experienced religious worker to take up the vacant role of managing the children department of the church.
The successful candidates will be working directly with the Children in collaboration with the Church pastor and other ministers of the church. This role is fundamental to fulfilling part of our mission to raise future generation in the knowledge and fear of God.
Job Role: Children Sunday School Teacher/Co-ordinator
Reporting to: Minister- Prayer/Intercessory Department
Location: Erith, Greater London. UK
Working Hours: 30h/w, Highly Flexible 5 days that necessarily include Sundays,
evenings and weekends.
The successful candidate’s duties include:
• Formulating, developing and co-ordinating activities of the children’s department of the church.
• Preparing and guiding Bible learning activities from the provided children Bible curriculum.
• Working with other church leaders in the church to address the needs of children so that all God’s children grow in strength and wisdom.
• Effectively coordinate and encourage all children in the church to grow in Christian faith in accordance to the biblical beliefs and teachings of CLASS UK.
• Work with other leaders in the church to ensure that policies and procedures are in place to help keep all children and the adults who care for and work with them safe.
• Teach the Bible lessons in a creative way so that children will learn and grow in faith
• Receiving and assembling all supplies and preparing curriculum, activities, crafts, and class materials prior to class.
• Mobilising and Recruit members/volunteers to serve in the classrooms during Sunday services and other church services/events.
• Attending ongoing Children’s Ministry training and meetings when necessary.
• Supporting the Co-ordinator regarding policies and procedures.
• Preparing and serving provided snacks to the children during services.
• Reporting and requesting needed classroom supply to the minister-in-charge
• Displaying a positive and friendly attitude with the parents and the children who are in your care
Qualifications/Personal Profile
Candidates must:
Essential
• Possess experience of working with children and young people.
• Have passion for ministry with children and deep commitment to faith formation of children.
• Demonstrate at least a basic knowledge of child development
• Have understanding of the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.
• Have genuine interest in responding to the hopes, needs, and concerns of children
• Dependable, friendly, enthusiastic, creative, organized and able to relate well with volunteers, children and a friendly attitude with the parents.
Desirable
• A relevant qualification.
• Moderate to Mature Spiritual Level
• Have a combination of servanthood, teaching, exhortation (encouragement), leadership, administration, and shepherding spiritual gifts
Salary: £18750 per annum
