Summary

Action Staffing Ltd is actively recruiting on behalf of a highly welcoming and established day nursery located in Forest Green, Nailsworth. We are currently looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 and Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to join their growing early years team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Early Years Education: Support and lead (depending on qualification level) the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based activities in strict alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

Key Person Duties: Act as a dedicated Key Worker for a designated group of children, observing, assessing, and accurately recording their developmental milestones and learning journeys.

Daily Care Routines: Supervise and assist with daily routines, ensuring high standards of care during mealtimes, sleep monitoring, personal hygiene, and nappy changing.

Environment Management: Set up and clear away creative activities, ensuring the indoor and outdoor learning environments remain safe, stimulating, and inclusive for all children.

Parent Partnerships: Build professional, warm relationships with parents and carers, conducting handovers and providing detailed feedback on their child’s daily progress and overall wellbeing.

Safeguarding: Ensure strict adherence to all setting policies regarding child protection, health and safety, and hygiene at all times.

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: A full and recognized Level 2 OR Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or BTEC).

Experience: Demonstrable hands-on experience working with children aged 0-5 within a day nursery, pre-school, or similar early years setting.

Knowledge: A strong, working understanding of the EYFS framework and up-to-date safeguarding practices.

Clearances: An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to undergo a new check) and the legal right to work in the UK.

Location: Must be able to reliably commute to the nursery setting in Nailsworth, Stroud (GL6 0ET).
