Long Term Futures is seeking a patient, energetic and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a vibrant Camden primary school. This is a lively class of active learners, so the school is looking for someone calm, consistent and confident who can provide structured 1:1 support while embracing a busy KS1 environment.
This role is ideal for someone experienced in ASD support who understands the importance of routine, clear expectations and positive reinforcement.

About the Role
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing consistent 1:1 support to help the pupil access learning
* Using visual timetables, structured routines and ASD-friendly strategies
* Supporting emotional regulation and transitions throughout the day
* Encouraging engagement during phonics, early maths and practical learning
* Promoting positive behaviour within a high-energy classroom setting
* Supporting social interaction and communication development
* Feeding back to staff to ensure consistent and effective strategies

Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ideally in KS1
* Calm, patient and confident within an active classroom
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Able to balance structure with warmth and positivity
* Reliable and committed to a long-term role
