A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Plymouth is looking to appoint a compassionate and proactive Primary SEN Support Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone who understands that every child learns differently and is committed to helping pupils with additional needs feel confident, included, and successful in school.
You'll be working with children who may have Autism (ASC), ADHD, communication needs, or other learning differences, providing consistent and tailored support throughout the school day.
- Delivering focused 1:1 and small-group support
- Assisting pupils with EHCPs to access the curriculum
- Supporting classroom routines and smooth transitions
- Modifying learning activities under teacher guidance
- Encouraging independence and positive social interaction
- Helping pupils develop emotional regulation strategies
- Providing feedback to teachers on progress and engagement
Your presence will make a genuine difference to a child's confidence and learning experience.
- Has experience supporting children with SEN (education, care, youth work, or similar)
- Is calm, patient, and encouraging
- Can build trusting relationships quickly
- Works collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Is flexible and adaptable to meet changing needs
- Holds an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to apply)
- Competitive daily rate of £85-£95
