Early Years Practitioner - Nursery (Kensal Rise)
Temp to Perm | Immediate Start | £95-£110 per day

A welcoming and values‑driven Early Years department in Kensal Rise is seeking a committed Nursery Teaching Assistant / Early Years Practitioner to join their team on a temp‑to‑perm basis, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a nurturing, play‑rich EYFS environment that places children's wellbeing, curiosity and early learning at the centre of everything they do.

About the Early Years Setting

The Early Years team is warm, collaborative and passionate about giving children the strongest possible start. The provision offers a rich blend of indoor and outdoor learning, child‑led exploration, early communication development and high‑quality continuous provision. The team works closely together to create a safe, inclusive and joyful space where every child can thrive.

The Role

You will be based in the Nursery class, supporting children aged 3-4 with their early learning, routines and personal development. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting high‑quality play‑based learning and early communication
- Delivering small‑group and 1:1 activities
- Assisting with observations, assessments and next steps
- Supporting personal care, routines and wellbeing
- Creating a warm, inclusive and stimulating environment
- Working closely with the class teacher and EYFS team
- Modelling positive relationships and helping children develop independence and confidence

Requirements
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (in line with DfE guidance)
- A DBS on the Update Service
- Experience working in an EYFS setting, ideally Nursery
- A genuine passion for Early Years education
- Strong initiative, communication and organisational skills
- Experience with vulnerable children or 2‑year‑old provision is desirable but not essential

Contract & Pay
- Temp to perm
- Immediate start
- £95-£110 per day (experience dependent)
