Situated in Leyland, Lancashire, the College is near the M6, M61 and M65 and within commuting distance of Manchester, Liverpool and the Lake District.We are seeking an outstanding Course Leader to join the A Level Classical Civilisation team within the School of English, Languages and Classics. The Classics department is nationally recognised, having received teaching awards from both the Classical Association and Classics for All, and also runs the Southport and Birkdale branch of the Classical Association.The successful candidate will lead and teach across our A Level Classical Civilisation programme, including World of the Hero (The Odyssey and The Aeneid), Imperial Image and Greek Religion. Imperial Image will be delivered for the first time from September 2026 and therefore experience of teaching this module, or the ability to plan and design the unit, would be desirable but is not essential. The post holder will have a degree in a relevant subject area and a proven track record of delivering Classical Civilisation or related subjects to a high standard at KS5.
