We are looking for:

A Mathematics leader who will:

• be a passionate champion for the subject—someone who inspires curiosity, drives excellence, and ensures that every pupil sees themselves as a successful mathematician.
• implement policies and practice which reflect the school’s commitment to high standards and achievement.
• use current research to build upon current effective teaching practice and identify areas for improvement.
• ensure continuity and progression in Mathematics by supporting colleagues in choosing the appropriate sequence of teaching and methods.
• monitor the subject through a range of methods to inform next steps in effective practice and improvement planning.

• use their own practice in Mathematics as an example of high-quality teaching and learning.
• ensure the Maths curriculum is rigorous, engaging and transformative for all pupils.

An outstanding teacher who:

• uses research-based approaches to inform effective and impactful classroom practice.
• has high expectations of themselves and the pupils in their care.
• is reflective about their teaching and committed to self-improvement.
• actively promotes pupil achievement through engaging and interesting lessons.
• is able to form excellent relationships with children, colleagues and parents.
• is committed to promoting a nurturing, inclusive, and positive environment for all children.
• is passionate about teaching and learning.
• holds qualified teacher status (QTS).
