The Opportunity

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference? Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialized school in the beautiful setting of Lingfield.

This school supports students with complex needs, including Autism (ASD), Speech & Language difficulties, and physical disabilities. We are looking for someone who sees the potential in every child and is committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.

Your Impact in the Classroom

As an SEN TA, you will be the bridge between the curriculum and the student's world:

  • 1:1 Personalized Support: Work closely with assigned students to help them engage with tasks at their own pace.

  • Communication Support: Use tools like PECS, Makaton, or visual timetables to help non-verbal or pre-verbal students express themselves.

  • Sensory Regulation: Assist students in navigating the classroom environment, using sensory breaks and "calm zones" to manage anxiety.

  • Promoting Independence: Encourage students to develop life skills and social confidence through collaborative play and group activities.

  • Safety & Wellbeing: Maintain a high level of safeguarding and physical care, ensuring every child feels secure and valued.

Who We Are Looking For
  • Experience: Previous experience with SEN (either in a school, care, or personal setting) is highly valued.

  • Personality: We need someone with a calm, patient, and resilient nature who can handle "small wins" with big enthusiasm.

  • Adaptability: The ability to pivot your approach based on a student's mood or sensory needs on any given day.

  • Commitment: A reliable professional who understands that consistency is key for students with additional needs.

Why Join Randstad?
  • Local Expertise: Benefit from a consultant who knows the Lingfield and Surrey school landscape intimately.

  • Transparent Pay: Competitive daily rates paid weekly through PAYE (no umbrella company fees).

  • Training: Access to free CPD courses, including Autism Awareness and Positive Behaviour Management.

  • Refer-a-Friend: Earn £300 in vouchers for every colleague you refer to us!
