Summary
Level 3 Room Leader – Up to £30,000
The nursery hums with activity as children move between rooms and the outdoor area. As Room Leader, you will take responsibility for running your room, supporting a team of practitioners, and ensuring high-quality care and learning throughout the day. You’ll lead planning, observations, and activities while remaining actively involved in children’s development.
Before You Apply
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is required.
- Recent nursery or early years experience is essential.

What You’ll Need
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Proven nursery or early years experience, including room leadership or deputising
- Sound knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding
- Confidence supervising staff and leading daily room operations
- Ability to maintain high standards of care and learning
What You’ll Do
- Lead the daily running of your allocated room
- Support, guide, and supervise practitioners within the room
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities aligned with EYFS
- Observe, assess, and record children’s development accurately
- Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress
- Ensure routines and activities run smoothly while meeting children’s needs
