Summary

At Sunderland Care and Support we are committed to being a trusted provider in the delivering of high-quality customer focused social and health care services. Sunderland Care and Support are looking for a full time assistant cook to join the team in our Fulwell Day Service, providing day opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and mental health needs.

The successful applicant with be working as part of a small team in an industrial kitchen providing meals to people with varied diets. The role of assistant cook includes:
Assisting in the preparation of all food and beverages as and when required, as directed by the cook or manager, whilst ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
To deputise in the absence of the cook - To prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with defined standards and quality, working within CQC guidelines regarding current health safety and hygiene legislation and Health and Safety policy, with the aim of achieving high standards of customer care and good quality at low cost.
To help to maintain excellent standards within the kitchen to meet the needs of environmental health and to help maintain current hygiene rating of 5 star.
