About Dimensions
At Dimensions, you'll find more than a job, you'll find purpose, belonging, and the support to thrive. Guided by our values of Ambition, Courage, Integrity, Partnership, and Respect, we create a workplace where your voice matters and your growth is celebrated. Recognised as a Great Place to Work for seven years running, we'll give you the tools, training, and encouragement to make a real difference every day.
About the role
- Lead Support Worker
- Haverhill, Suffolk, CB9
- £13.55 Per hour
- Full time - 37.5 hours per week
- Full UK manual or automatic driving licence is essential.
You'll support adults with learning disabilities and autism across eight individual flats, enabling each person to live life in the way that is most meaningful to them. People you'll support range in age from 30 to 80 and have a wide variety of interests — from church visits, sensory sessions, shopping trips and zoo outings, to evenings out at local discos. Support is typically delivered on a 1:1 basis, with occasional 2:1, so flexibility is essential.
As a Lead Support Worker, you'll play a key role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred support. You will lead by example on shift, acting as a positive role model, mentoring colleagues, and helping to embed best practice within the team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating daily support and ensuring routines, guidelines, care plans and risk assessments are followed.
- Supporting the Locality Manager and Assistant Locality Manager with rota planning, effective deployment of staff, and ensuring appropriate cover.
- Overseeing accurate and timely record-keeping, including support plans, daily notes, finance records and health-related documentation.
- Supporting with incident reporting, safeguarding responsibilities, and contributing to quality assurance processes.
- Helping to induct new colleagues and providing ongoing coaching to encourage skills development and consistency of practice.
- Attending internal and external meetings, advocating for the people we support, and ensuring their voices remain central to all decisions.
Alongside your duties, you'll also deliver hands-on support. This includes personal care, supporting with medication administration, promoting independence, enabling community involvement, and helping with meal planning, budgeting and household tasks. No two days are the same — but every day you'll make a genuine difference.
About youYou're an experienced support worker looking to take the next step, or you may already have leadership experience and want to continue developing your career. You'll bring:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
- Confidence using digital systems and maintaining accurate records.
- A calm, solution-focused approach, especially when supporting colleagues or managing challenging situations.
- Good organisational skills, the ability to prioritise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and some sleep-ins.
Most importantly, you'll share our values and our belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to lead a fulfilling, independent life. If you're passionate about making every day matter, we'd love to hear from you.
