Summary

Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Droitwich, Worcestershire

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
Our client is a 25-year-old female living in Droitwich who is looking to recruit a 2-x female Personal Assistants to provide support with all aspects of daily living.

Main duties:
Meal preparation- Breakfast, Lunch (made and left in fridge at morning call), Dinner and Drinks. Oven and pan cooking from fresh.

Personal care- Washing, drying, dressing and catheter care.

Medication prompts- Bring medication to client and remind her to take the correct doses. Also bring icepacks and other complimentary pain relief

Basic cleaning- Up after completing duties, picking things up off floor that client may drop, taking rubbish out, loading& unloading dishwasher, washing up.

Laundry- Will need to be taken to the launderette.

Food shop- Driving to Click and collect food order from supermarket and go into shop to buy anything missing or forgotten to add to order, unload food shopping, remind client to complete food order, diet specific foods.

Appointments: Assistance to telephone appointments as client is bed bound. Support with managing correspondence, completing forms and responding to emails.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

 Other: Due to the nature of this role including medical & personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.

Hours of work: 28 hours per week
4 x 1-hour calls per day 7 days per week

Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience
• Ability to cook well, imperative.
• Driving license and own car
• Common sense and self sufficiency
• Good communication skills
• Empathetic
• Experience with Neurodivergent people, traumatised people.
• Experience with depression, PTSD, anxiety.
• Experience with Complex pain/ Chronic illness and an understanding they do not present the same as someone in acute pain.
• Client has no contact with family, so she is completely reliant on the PA’s providing care, it is vital that they able to complete the tasks required very sufficiently.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
