Vehicle Bodybuilder / Commercial Vehicle Body Fitter — Trafford Park, Manchester — up to £15.60 p/h + bonus (44 hrs, Permanent)
Join a busy, professional workshop in Trafford Park, Manchester as a Vehicle Bodybuilder / Commercial Vehicle Body Fitter / Vehicle Panel Builder / Vehicle Body Fitter / Vehicle Assembly Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician. You’ll build, install and finish high‑quality commercial vehicle bodies, working to clear drawings, tight tolerances and strict safety/quality standards.
The role — Vehicle Bodybuilder / Commercial Vehicle Body Fitter / Vehicle Panel Builder
• Work independently to deliver on timelines and quality targets
• Read engineering drawings and work from works orders accurately
• Use hand and bench tools (saws, drills, measurement equipment) safely and precisely
• Install insulated panels, seal joints/floors/roofs (silicone/gel coatings)
• Electrically terminate lighting, switches and tail lifts
• Cut metals, woods and plastics; maintain high standards of housekeeping
• Support additional workshop projects as required and adhere to H&S and quality control
What you’ll bring
• Proven experience in vehicle bodybuilding or commercial vehicle assembly
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards
• Practical, hands‑on approach; motivated by high‑quality results
• Reliable transport to site
• (Desirable) Ability to read engineering drawings; experience with insulated panels and electrical terminations on vehicles
Pay, hours & type
• Rate: up to £15.60 per hour + bonus opportunities
• Shift: 44 hours/week — 07:00–16:30 Mon–Thu, 07:00–15:30 Fri (flexibility given)
• Job type: Full‑time, permanent
