Summary
We are looking for a bright, bubbly, and enthusiastic Early Years practitioner to join our team here at The Old Fire Station Children’s Nursery. This role is for a permanent contract.

Essential
Level 2 Childcare Qualification or above.
DBS check (to be arranged and paid for by the Nursery).
What we are looking for
Previous experience in a childcare setting.
Excellent communication skills.
Good organisational skills.
Good knowledge and understanding of new curriculum guidance.
An excellent work ethic.
Secure safeguarding knowledge.
Good time keeping.
Key Responsibilities
· To support the Nursery team in maintaining a quality environment for the children and families who access our setting.
· To communicate effectively and work alongside the Nursery team.
· To observe, assess and plan for children’s development.
· To liaise with external agencies and parents to provide the best care for children.
· To look out for the signs of abuse and to report all safeguarding concerns to a DSL promptly.
· To support some children with Special Educational Needs.
· Appointed First Aider.
The post holder may be required to perform other duties than those listed in the role profile for this post. Duties and responsibilities of the post may vary from time to time without changing the general duties or level of responsibility.
(Successful applicants will be subject to two good references and an enhanced DBS Check.)
