Medical Secretary / Patient Care Co-ordinator - Band 4
We are pleased to recruit a full-time Band 4 Medical Secretary to join our Medical Oncology Service on an 18-month fixed-term contract.
This newly created role is designed to provide high-quality administrative support to the Geriatric Oncology service and the Breast Oral Chemotherapy pathways, working closely with our Breast Clinical Nurse Specialists and wider clinical teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, proactive individual looking to develop their knowledge and experience within Oncology and the wider NHS. You will be joining a vibrant, supportive department within one of the largest and most respected cancer centres in the UK.

The post holder will provide comprehensive, efficient secretarial and administrative support to our Oncology consultants, breast nurses, and wider multidisciplinary team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the service, supporting clinic administration, and helping us meet clinic letter turnaround targets.
This position requires excellent communication skills, confidence, and professionalism, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines. Strong typing skills, competency in Outlook, and good written and spoken English are essential.
You will be part of a close-knit and highly supportive administrative and nursing team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care within our medical oncology services.
